Note that there may be some minor changes you will have to make that are not included in this tutorial. Sometimes there are links to testimonials which was a GJ ONLY feature. The userinfo link is usually /info but you may have to change it to /profile. I've tried to make things as simple and easy to understand as possible but you may have some questions and if that's so, then email me (raemae@gmail.com) with your question and I'll do my best to help you. Also note that it is best you click on the images to see the full image up close. Click on the link to download the layout codes. Click on the link to download the layout codes and save it as a .txt document. Open the document (it should open in Notepad, if it doesn't, right click and select Notepad for it to open with). Click Edit and go down to Replace... and click on it. For Find what: enter www.greatestjournal.com/ or greatestjournal.com/. For Replace with: enter www.scribbld.net/ (or the site you are putting the layout on) or scribbld.net/. Then click Replace All. Go to Replace... again under the Edit menu. For Find what: enter caughtoffguard. For Replace with: enter desirables. Then click Replace All. Go to Replace... again under the Edit menu. For Find what: enter greatestjournal. For Replace with: enter scribbld or the site name (livejournal, insanejournal, ect.) you are putting this layout on. Then click Replace All. Right click and Select All. Then right click again and Copy or Cut the text. Go to the journaling site you are putting this layout on. Log in to your account. Then click on Create Style or simply add this to the sites url: /styles/create.bml. Then select Most Recent Events and leave the Style ID# part blank. Click the Create Style button. Instead of clicking on the Edit Style button, click on the Edit Style link on the side, or add /styles/edit.bml to the sites url. Select the style you just created. Then select for Action: select Edit in Raw Mode (Old). Click Proceed. For Description:, type Gossip Girl or whatever you think would best describe the layout. Scroll down. Right click in the Style Variables: area, paste the layout codes here. Then click the Save Style button. To apply the style/layout you just created, go to your Customize page. (add /customize/s1/ to the sites url) Select Gossip Girl or whatever you named the layout to, for Most Recent Events. Then scroll down and click the Save Changes button! THE END!
